Summer Baseball Wreath

Here is the summer baseball wreath I made this summer!
I started with a wreath from Michael's.  I added in colored ribbon that I liked and made it as full as I wanted, the I began decorating it with baseball stuff!

I used paper popcorn olders, baseballs, a small glove from when one of my kids was very oung, and beads to decorate the wreath.

I used a hot glue gun to adhere everything to the wreath.

The glue was even strong enough to hold the small glove, which was still a bit heavy!

Overall, it was pretty patriotic, and we enjoyed it all summer!

Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed it!

Baseball Album

Here are the Bombers Baseball Albums I made for the boys this summer at their last USSSA World Series together.   This was my son's baseball team.
Here is their baseball cap that I modeled the "B" after.

Here is the front of the album.  It ha a paper core, and I cut out the pieces of felt by hand to fashion this beach-style album.  We played this World Series in Orange Beach, Alabama, and this was our second year to play on the beach, so I thought a beach theme would be fun.

Here was our t-shirt from the year before, so I used some of he decorative elements from it for the cover of the album.

The insides of the book were pretty plain.  Just used the grey, red, and white colors, and mainly let the photos do the talking!

The boys enjoyed looking at them!

It was a season to remember!

Thanks for looking!

Evan's 13th Birthday (Baseball Themed) Party

My son's 13th Birthday party was a success!  It's been almost two years, so I'm a bit behind in posting these, but I'm trying to catch up, so here goes...
He had his party at a jump place, which all the kids love.  As far as the decorations go, it means I'm limited to a few tables, but hey, we made it work!
His theme was BASEBALL, which is one of his favorite sports!

Here you can see the overall design of the party decorations...a green(grass) tablecloth, baseball balloons ad paper goods!  Pretty standard stuff!

For a floral arrangement, I made it look like a baseball.   It came off pretty well!  I found the fun coke-bottle bowl at Hobby Lobby and figured this would hold the gum!

More little containers full of gumballs and other treats!

This little carrier, I also found at Hobby Lobby.  I did add the flower and the bow.  I used this to hold the treats for the guests...Pop Corn plastic cups from the dollar store...filled with a bottle coke and some other treats!
I found some cute metal holders that you could write on at Hobby Lobby.  This one held our straws!

I put some "stress" balls in this container like the other one, and here you can see a picture of the awesome cake balls we had for him instead of a traditional cake.  He loved them!

Side view of the treat stand...we had some sunflower seeds in there...a boy' fav!

I think I used the plastic bucket with a chalkboard label to house is presents...which were ALL cards and/or money!  lol

I got some star shaped glass candy dishes at the dollar store, and some plastic silver scoops at Party City!

The kids had a ball!

Thank you for taking a look!  I hope you enjoyed it!

"BOMBERS" Baseball Album

Here is the album I made for my son's baseball team, the BOMBERS!

I began with an awesome Heart of Texas Studio album that has a diameter of 10 inches!  This baby is BIG!

I decided to do something a little different that usual.  This season, I used 5"x7" photos instead of the usual 4"x6"s.  I matted every picture...sometimes I double or triple matted!  The other thing I did differently is that I painted all of the pages...several coats, then sealed each one after painting for the shine!

As far as the camoflauge pattern, I hand drew that on the front edge, as you see her, and also on the back page of the album.  It was a little bit of a pain, but hey, it's cheaper than therapy(actually, I'm beginning to wonder about that!  lol)  Heart of Texas Studio let me order the "Bombers" chipboard piece that you see laying on the top.  Pam is good to me!

On some of them, I pop dotted them to add dimension, and on a few, I just left the pics/mats flat.

Around the edges,  I used paint markers and wrote famous baseball quotes.

I was pretty happy with the result.  I took all of the photos, as always, and my husband made some cool edits like this one!

This was at the Travel Sports World Series in June.  BOMBERS took 2nd in the second bracket.  It was a well-fought game, and the boys had to work their way up the losers bracket on Sunday by playing 8 games!  7 of which they won!

We were so proud of them!!  Some things you just never forget!  Love my BOMBERS!!

Here's the back of the album.

We gave them out at the end of season party!  Here was the bag I painted for their albums to go in!  A great time was had by all!!

Altered Project: Wooden Spool-Baseball

Shelley, here, with an altered project, using a Melissa Frances Spool Photo Holder and some awesome Viva Colour products!
 DSC_0011
I began with a wooden Melissa Frances wooden spool.  I first distressed it by using a file in many places.  Then, I used Viva Colour Gold Crackle Paint over several parts of it to give an old look.

The corner scrolls are by Melissa Frances, also, and are just the thing for this photo ATC!  I used the file on these, then painted them with Black China Luminarte Twinkling H20.   After letting this dry, I added some Viva Colour Gold in "Gold" and some Viva Colour Gold Crackle Paint.  I layered these products, until I achieved the looked that I wanted.

On the ring holder, I used Viva Colour Inka Gold "Gold".  I used a wood ATC and glued a black and white photo on it.  I heavily distessed the edges of the photo and the card itself.  I painted over all of the edges with Black China Luminarte Twinkling H20.  I then glued down the corners.  After getting everything down where I wanted it, I used a stamp on the edge of the photo and card.  I then touched up all of the card and corners with the Viva Colour Inka Gold "Gold", Viva Colour Gold Crackle Paint, Black China Luminarte Twinkling H20, and Viva Colour Silver Precious Metal Effect Paint.

You can see toward the top of the spool and in the middle, the Viva Colour Inka Gold in "Gold" that I have wiped in the scratches made by the file.  On the bottom part, you can see the crackle paint.
